Messina Michalsky is a board certified, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). She treats people across their lifespan using a biopsychosocial approach. Messina is dually trained in providing psychotherapy in addition to psychotropic medication management. Messina has over twenty years working in healthcare. She has extensive experience working in inpatient psychiatric hospitals, ER, outpatient settings, crisis, nursing homes, PACT team, and substance abuse treatment centers. Messina completed her PMHNP training at Montana State University in Bozeman, MT. She has a passion for rural health care and has spent the last six years providing mental health care to persons in rural Colorado. Messina is passionate about whole-person integrative mental health, intergenerational trauma, treating patients with chronic and severe mental illness, and addressing family systems. She has experience treating individuals of all ages across a range of psychiatric diagnoses, but she is particularly interested in helping those who struggle with intergenerational trauma, PTSD, ADHD, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, schizophrenia, and substance use disorders. In addition, Messina is the owner of Integrative Mental Health Services, PLLC in Billings, MT. She is currently enrolled in a fellowship with the Integrative Psychiatry Institute at University of Colorado in Boulder, CO.
